We just got our 10th paid user!
5 by tsrautde | 0 comments on Hacker News. [Cross posting from Startup School forum but whoever needed to read this, you can do it too!] We're still in beta and this definitely isn't as magical as getting the first user but hitting double digits gives great confidence in the legitimacy of your idea. We grew organically, friends referring friends. We charge a small fee of invested money so the revenue does not amount to much but surely great feeling to end the week on a high note. Biggest piece of advice for anyone struggling with obstacles right now - SHIP SOMETHING OUT. Even if it's a google sheets/survey version of the product, getting independent insight from users opens your mind to new possibilities. We keep pondering over our obstacles but truth be told, the market does not care. Your company is what it puts out to users. Things started moving for us only after we launched. I'm happy to chat with anyone who has questions about getting traction on MVP for your product. Keep pushing! We're building https://ift.tt/2T0D4BT

In the future, I hope to include all who's hiring posts with better graphs to visualize it. You can download it and play with it from here: https://ift.tt/2LXjXbk And if you do, I'd love feedback! Including code feedback. There's some stuff that I haven't followed. Thank you! - V
Help please - is the California state park reservation system hacked?
2 by jph | 1 comments on Hacker News. Many California state parks use a reservation system that seems to be hacked by malware that tries to install Chrome extensions. What do HN readers recommend to 1) stop the problem now, 2) protect the website for the future? Symptom: reservecalifornia (dot com) is redirecting to try to install something from gogetsplendidapps (dot com), and something called "Keep Safe Search". Google reports these as malware. Thanks in advance for suggestions!
